We provide support and education to bring small woodlands to life.

Story

The Reverend Malcolm T Cooper of Merrington, formerly of Sutton, Ely,
died peacefully at home on the 27th June 2020.

Husband of Trixie, father to Jane, Adrian and Giles, and grandfather to Amy and Rachael. He was strong in faith and his Christian ministry was valued by others throughout his life. He enjoyed a full life, with many interests, particularly the Scout movement, music and singing, Rotary, and a strong belief in equality of opportunity to education and housing as well as a strong appreciation of the natural environment.

He very much enjoyed keeping in touch with his many friends from all over the world, met through these interests.

A private family funeral will be held in Shrewsbury on Thursday 23 July, followed by a memorial service to celebrate his life with family flowers only.  The memorial service will be recorded and made available on request, as the family know many are not able to travel at this time.

The Small Woods Association is a national charity, based in Shropshire, which champions and supports the owners and managers of small woodlands and was a cause close to Malcolm’s heart. Donations to this charity in his memory would be gratefully received.
