40k 4 Lent - Holy Week Run · 15 April 2019

The UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, we've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, we provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

During the first 5 days of Holy Week (Mon 15 - Fri 19 Apr), I will be running a loop of approximately 12km between the South Norfolk village churches of Mulbarton, Flordon, Bracon Ash and Hethel carrying a large wooden cross. I am doing this as part of the '40k 4 Lent' challenge, but also to raise money and awareness for Combat Stress

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for armed forces veteran's mental health. Campaigners estimate that last year, at least 58 veterans took their own lives. As a former serviceman who is now a priest, I want to do somehting about that.

The cross I will carry during Holy Week will be visible, but the crosses many of our veterans carry are invisible.

Thank you for supporting me - every penny you give can help transform the life of a veteran who is stuggling with their mental health.
