Together We Can Beat Cancer

For some time now I have wanted to do some sort of Sponsored run or event and never really known which charity to raise for. There are a few causes close to my heart such as The Alzheimers Society and The Stroke Association but nothing touches more of our lives than Cancer. Earlier this year I had a small cancer scare and being the drama queen I am, I was very concerned, it kept me up at night and I mostly kept it to myself. I was lucky but one in three of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lives or know someone close to us that suffers with it. I have had relatives beat cancer and I have also known people who weren't so lucky.

I truly believe that if we all chipped in that cancer could be cured but not all of us give believing 'it won't happen to me' or 'my money won't make a difference'. If we all had this mentality we'd be in a terrible position, cancer research wouldn't have advanced and many people would die who could otherwise be saved. Small donations add up, even if you're skint and can only give a little I will be truly grateful. So please sponsor me and by all means come and support me on the Race for Life night, even if it is just to have a laugh at me running about like a fool :-D.
