Race for Life Haverfordwest 2011 · 19 June 2011 ·
Every year since Race For Life came to Haverfordwest I have taken part, except for last year when i was pregnant with our son.
Towards the end of the pregnancy my fiancé Richard was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large T Cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. That day our lives changed forever.
Rich started his chemotherapy a week after Richie Jnr was born. He has done this with such strength and determination and I am unbelievably proud of him. So far he has had 5 doses of chemo and the end of treatment is in sight.
Without Cancer Research there would not have been such amazing treatments open to people like Rich. He has a 70% chance of making a full recovery, years ago things could have been VERY different.
One lesson this has taught me is that ANYONE can have cancer, so this year more than ever I want to raise awareness and help to raise as much money as possible so that I can help to make a difference.
Please help me to smash my target and to give people like Rich the chance of a future and our 3 children a future with their Daddy!
