A couple of months ago, one of my closest friends, Helen, lost her Mum (Marjorie) to Cancer.  Marjorie has been forced to leave behind a caring husband and three amazing daughters due to this cruel illness. This is a terrible thing to have happened to them and maybe with more research could have been prevented. Marjorie will be greatly missed.

This is Helen's message:
No one expects their Mummy to die, I certainly didn't.  She looked after me like no one ever has.  She's supported me in whatever I wanted to do. She was there for me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She made me laugh when I was crying.  She made me cry because I was laughing.  She was my best friend and my mummy; and now my life will never be the same again. I don't want anyone to lose someone they love.  Words can't describe how much I miss my mummy.  No amount of money will bring her back, but for others it might not be too late.

A small group of us have therefore decided to participate in the race for life in the memory of Marjorie, to try and raise as much money as possible, to prevent this tragedy from happening to any more families.
