"This is my wonderful mum Cheryl. In March this year she was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. In April she underwent an operation to remove the cells and on Friday 13th May she was given the news that they had taken what they needed to away, and the surrounding area was clear.

This is a fantastic result but it has made us realise how cancer affects so many people in so many ways. Because of this we are participating in 'Race for Life', in memory of those who have lost their battle with, are being treated for and who have survived cancer. That's what I'll be wearing on the back of my t-shirt on 24 July."
