Story

Greetings Friends

Thanks for visiting my fund-raising page!

This is my 4th consecutive year of running in the Race For Life, though this year is slightly different as I shall be charging full speed (well maybe half-speed, I am getting on a bit) around Coventry’s medieval ‘Coombe Abbey’ instead of Cannon Hill Park in Birmingham.  A change is as good as a rest!

Donating money means that Cancer Research can fund its life-saving work into diagnosing and treating cancer.  By sponsoring me now you could help more people SURVIVE cancer.

I would like to dedicate this race to my friend, Margaret Griffiths, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006.  She has bravely undergone surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and she’s still receiving treatment for cancer.

Margaret recently recorded a CD called “The Spirit of Piaf” which is a tribute to the late Edith Piaf (it’s brilliant!!).  It is available from her website at COST PRICE!

Margaret also invites donations to Cancer Research UK and her fund-raising page is:

It doesn’t matter if you donate to my page or hers, but both would be good

Cheers!

Annie
