Surely it has to be worth some of your hard earned cash considering the last time I ran anywhere was to the bar for last orders. Most you who know me will find it frankly hilarious that I am attempting to do this, but it's for a great cause. I watched one of my closest friends go through hell and back from the moment her mother was diagnosed with leukaemia, to the day we scattered her ashes and beyond, and I'm giving Charlotte some moral support by doing something slightly more productive than putting the world to rights over a bottle of vodka. Besides, none of you will sponsor us for that.

Events like Race for Life are an important way in which Cancer Research UK is able to fund its life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me now you could help more people survive cancer. It might not be a marathon, but we all start somewhere, let's not get carried away.
