Story
Hello everyone,
Thank you for visiting my Race for Life fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. I look at last years photo and realise that running when it is 30 degrees was something I thought long gone, I haven't done that since I was 15 in Adelaide!!
Many of you will have sponsored me last year, for which I am grateful. After my friend died In 1999, I made the decision to have breast scans on a more regular basis. The Christmas before last, my French doctor found a shadow and suggested we keep an eye on it. Just that spurred me to run last year, but by August I was contemplating how the cards are dealt when that shadow turned into a lump. In late September I had a biopsy and waited anxiously for the results. I was given the all clear the week of my 50th birthday and realised that should I do the next Race for Life, I would be running for me as well as Jules. So, with thanks to my doctors on both sides of the water, July 8th here I come, and I am going to beat my time!!
