We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

Emma Scarlett Brown was a beautiful and intelligent 18 year old with her whole life before her.  Just before her 18th birthday, she was diagnosed with a highly malignant brain tumour and despite eight months of painful and difficult treatment, she lost her life on 16th March 2010.  The world has lost a fantastic person.  Despite the gravity of her condition, Emma lived her life to the full and faced her worst fears with incredible dignity and is an inspiration to all who knew her.

We're fundraising for Cancer Reseach UK in memory of Emma and all others in our family who have died from or survived cancer. Please dig deep and sponsor us online – it’s quick, easy and totally secure.

Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring us now you can help more people survive cancer.

So far we have 9 people walking or running and we need lots of incentive to get us round the 5k course!  If you would like to join us then please do let Claire know (claire@samarajames.com).

Gift Aid it!

If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating so that an extra 25%, plus a 3% supplement, can be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Every pound you donate really does make a difference – so please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support – Together we will beat cancer.
