This is the first year i am participating in Darlington's 'Race for Life' on Sunday 12th June. 2 of my best friends, Sisters - Louise & Tracey have previously taken part in memory of my Mom, so it's about time i honoured her myself!

As you know, we lost our lovely, fun Mom - Sandy Downing, from Non-Hodgkinsons Lymphoma on 15th March 2002 aged just 56 years old. She started to feel unwell in Sept 2001, was diagnosed in Jan 2002, and was lost to this vicious disease 2 months later.

I have also lost both of my Grandad's to Prostate Cancer too, and my Cousin's Wife, Sandra lost a long battle with Throat Cancer, so this charity is close to my heart.
