Hello!

I’m working on the assumption that by visiting my page you are considering sponsoring me to run 10k for Race for Life – so thanks! Hopefully my spiel won’t put you off the idea and you’ll end up adding a few pennies to my sponsorship pot.

One of the reasons that I decided to do this run was to get fit. I’m definitely not a natural runner – so to get me up, out and training three times a week it had to be for a bloody good cause. And I think you’ll agree that cancer research is about as good of a cause as you can get.

I’m not quite sure why I opted for the 10k though...I’m in a slight state of panic about that part!

Now I know there are lots of sponsorship requests flying around at this time of year. And I know it’s hard to sponsor everyone. So if you can’t sponsor me then at least sponsor one person you know running Race for Life this year – it all goes in to the same pot and anything you donate to cancer research will in one way or another help save lives.

So that’s my plea over – please dig deep – and sponsor someone – even if it’s not me!

And if you would like to see me earn the sponsorship money that I do get then come and watch me run, stumble, stagger and lurch my way round the track in Finsbury Park on Saturday 23 July!
