Thank you for visiting our Race for Life fundraising page.
We are running the Race for Life for our beloved Dad (Pops) & Grandad Peter Berry, a wonderfully brave man who passed away on Friday 4th April 2008 after a heroic battle with Mantel Cell Lymphoma.
Dad was always a healthy active man who had never been ill up until he was diagnosed back in November 2005. He took every treatment that was thrown at him so that he could stay with his family who loved him so very much. He had been in and out of hospital fighting this awful disease, but dad being dad was always positive, loving and caring as ever before. He knew he was nearing the end of his brave battle and spoke to us all personally to ensure we knew how much we meant to him, as did we. He passed away at home surrounded by his loving wife of 43 years and his 3 beloved children.
We just want him to know how much he meant to us and that we are running this race for him. To stand side by side to fight this awful disease. Most of you knew my dad and the people who didn't will know someone close to them that has had cancer and beaten it or sadly lost a loved one to it.
So please dig deep and sponsor us online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me - Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, at least an extra 25% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you when you tick the Gift Aid box.
