All of us know someone whose life has been cut short or blighted by cancer. Two years ago my Mother in Law fought and beat breast cancer, this year my Father in Law was diagnosed with Skin cancer, as was my best friend's husband.  And my friend Fiona Stewart - that's her on the left - like me a Mum of three, is fighting her own harrowing battle, this time with bowel cancer.
