Last year when I took part in the race for life for the first time, it was because my mother Roberta Beales was diagnosed with cancer. Cancer of the bone, liver and lungs. She was so proud off me for completing the 5k in only 32 minutes...I even gave my medal to my mum, I thought she derserved it more.
This year it will be a lot different, I will be running in memory of my mum. She died on the 27th August, cancer took her before she had a chance to fight. 88 days was all it took, she was only 49.
This is for you mum, I love you xxx
