Story

<p>Help more people beat cancer.</p> <p><span style="color: #800080;"><em>Our Story:-</em></span></p> <p><em><span style="color: #800080; font-family: Verdana;">I'm Kirsty, I have many reasons for entering&nbsp; the race, My Grandmother, who&nbsp;meant so very much to me,&nbsp;lost her life to lung cancer, it was aggressive and spread rapidly.&nbsp; She lost her fight on the 10th Feb 2008 surrounded by her family myself included.&nbsp; I miss her every day, she's left a huge gap in all our lives.</span></em></p> <p><em><span style="color: #800080; font-family: Verdana;">Later in 2008 my very good friend Angela Low was diagnosed with cancer of the cervix only it had spread further in that just the cervix, she had a massive hysterectomy summer.&nbsp; Shortly after recovering from the surgery she found a lump in her breast.&nbsp; Tests showed she had cancerous lumps in both breasts and had a double mastectomy.&nbsp; She is fighting hard and has her final session of chemotherapy on the 1st April 2009.&nbsp; This will be followed by some radiotherapy on her right arm pit where they removed some cancerous lymph glands.&nbsp; Angela is doing amazingly well in her recovery and is still a huge part of our lives.<br /></span></em></p> <p><em><span style="color: #800080; font-family: Verdana;">Her friendship knows no limits, even throughout her treatment she's been there for me when times have been hard at any hour of the day.</span></em></p> <p><em><span style="color: #800080; font-family: Verdana;">Lucymay sadly lost her father to cancer, he's left a huge gap in her and her familys life but forever in their hearts.<br /></span></em></p> <p><em><span style="color: #800080; font-family: Verdana;">My beloved Grandmother and my true friend Angela and Lucymay's father are our driving force for entering the race.&nbsp; </span></em></p> <p><em><span style="color: #800080; font-family: Verdana;">Please donate if you can no matter how small, it ALL helps.</span></em></p> <p><em><span style="color: #800080; font-family: Verdana;">From the bottom of Lucymay and my hearts we thank you for your support.</span></em></p> <p>Thank you for visiting our Race for Life sponsorship page.
