Story

Thank you for visiting my Race for Life sponsorship page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online – it’s quick, easy and totally secure..

My reasons for joining race for life:

We found out in December 2010 that mum had breast cancer.

This was detected by her having a routine mammogram.

I felt shocked and heartbroken for my mum as I watched her breakdown in tears and there wasnt anything I could say to comfort her and make things better.

We have been going through a tough time in the last 6 years as a family as my dad was diagnosed with dementia and is now in later stages.

Mum has been his full time carer since then and watching her dealing with cancer now is so hard for all of us and especially for her.

I admire her strength and courage and love her so much.

She has had two surgeries since December and is now in her first week of chemotherapy treatment.

I want to help more people beat cancer.

Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me now you can help more people survive cancer..
