The last time I did any form of running was during my school sports days over 14 years ago!  Since then my daily excercise routine involves numerous trips between my desk and the printer and back - so this is certainly a personal challenge!!

The determination for me to complete the course has meant training started early before Easter where my training schedule increased bit by bit.  

The personal motivation of this race is due to the experiences life has brought mine and my family's way since my Mum passed away from Cancer in 1996.  I run this race in dedication to my Mum, my best friend alongside both my sisters and every female member of my immediate family to celebrate the life of those who we have lost and the future of all women who may be unfortunate to suffer from the disease. 

I also will be running for all the children and young people who have experienced a a parent suffering with the disease - as I and my sisters did many years ago.  Your generosity can help change the future for these children.....
