Hi Everyone
Well here Jo and Mel are again, asking you to sponsor us for the Race for Life in 2010. We really feel like we're pushing our luck asking again but here's the reason why we do it.
Mel was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 2007. As the cancer recently reared its ugly head again, it needs showing who’s boss. After one lot of chemotherapy had little impact, she then had to puke her way through another type of chemo which seems to be doing its job and keeping things under control. Joanne has as usual been providing Mel with the best possible medicine – laughter, and has also been fantastic at keeping Mel grounded and sane. Mel really would be lost without her, so Joanne really needs sponsoring for her amazing support all year through, and not just for her 5km run.
Really, Mel is lucky that there have been other chemo’s to try. Without Cancer Research and the work they do, the doctors would have nothing else to throw at her. And as long as they keep doing that, she’ll keep stubbornly fighting on. This is why, your money means so much, so as Cancer Research UK can help prevent and find a cure for this and other cancers. Please give what you can. We know it’s a tough time for everyone, but a little, will help a lot.
Thanks for your time again.
