Last monday 2nd June 2008 my Uncle Brian sadly lost his battle against cancer having only been diagnosed a few weeks ago. We are all shocked and devastated and it has prompted me to do something about it. By doing the Race for Life i can contribute something towards preventing,diagnosing and treating people with cancer.

Events like Race for Life are an important way in which Cancer Research UK is able to fund its life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me now you could help more people survive cancer.

UPDATE 19/6/08;- THANKYOU TO EVERYBODY FOR ALL THEIR SUPPORT!

THE TRAINING HAS CERTAINLY BEEN A CHALLENGE AS THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW ME, KNOW THAT I AM NOT A RUNNER AND AT TIMES  I WONDERED IF I WAS GOING TO MAKE THE RUN ON SUNDAY!!! HOWEVER I HAVE HAD GREAT SUPPORT FROM EVERYBODY AS WELL AS FROM PEOPLE IN THE GYM AT RIBBY WHICH HAS BEEN MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

ANYWAY NOT LONG TO GO NOW AND I HOPE I CAN DO MY UNCLE BRIAN PROUD ON SUNDAY!!!! THANKYOU AGAIN!! MICHELLE XXX   

UPDATE 22/6/08;- I MANAGED TO FINISH THE RACE IN 24MINS 56 SECONDS SO REALLY PLEASED AS THE CONDITIONS OUT THERE TODAY WERE SOMEWHAT WINDY!!! BUT AT LEAST THE RAIN HELD OFF!! WHAT A FANTASTIC ATMOSPHERE AND VERY EMOTIONAL!! THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR SUPPORT IT MEANS A LOT!!
