Help more people beat cancer
Thank you for visiting my sponsorship page. I have been running the Race for Life for the last two years. This year, running the Race for Life has taken on a deeper, more personal meaning for me: my Step Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in July last year and my Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer just weeks later. My Step Mum has survived her battle against cancer and is doing really well!
Sadly, my Dad was not so lucky. I lost my Dad on 10 October 2011 following his brave fight against cancer. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most difficult types of cancer to detect and unfortunately for Dad, his cancer was not found until it had spead to his liver and it was far too late. Please, please, please give what you can and sponsor me to run the Race for Life to help Cancer Research UK with the invaluable work that they are doing in the fight against cancer. If cancer can be detected earlier, more people, like my Dad, will have a better chance of surviving it.
