'5k Twilight Race for Life'
Cancer! Me & Tuli are coming to get you!!!!!
As many of you are already aware on the 1st of October 2012 my life, and the lives of Steve, my children and my family changed forever. I was diagnosed with Grade 3 Invasive Breast Cancer.
On the 24th October I had my first surgery (1 year on we're doing our walk) As a result of this operation we discovered my cancer was more advanced than we had originally thought. It was wide spread in my breast and had spread to my lymph nodes.
Throughout the winter I had Chemotherapy. In the spring I had a Mastectomy and my Lymph nodes removed. Summer brought Radiotherapy. It's been a busy year and at times a lonely path to travel. Throughout my journey I have met some amazing people. Some are doing well, some are doing ok and some, not so well. My journey continues. I still need treatment every 3 weeks for several months yet.
Without charities like 'Cancer Research' I may not have had the treatments I've been given and continue to have. To show my appreciation to all those who have fundraised in the past to give me and others like me our lives, Tuli and I are doing the '5k Twilight Race for Life' in Central Park Chelmsford. I'm not quite up to running (not sure I ever was) so we shall take a nice evening stroll through the park. We may even have a little glass of along the way!
We would really appreciate you sponsoring us.
In anticipation of you doing so, we thank you very, very much!
Love Caroline & Tuli xxx
