Hiya
I'm running the Race for Life again this year, preferably a little quicker than last year's pitiful attempt. I'm running in memory of Kirsty, a friend from primary school who died from bone cancer when she was 19. I worry that people are so aware of cancer these days, and it's so openly talked about, that often people don't donate to cancer charities because they think that they're already drowning in cash and their money would be better spent elsewhere. Of course, there are so many great charities that desperately need your money, but cancer is so common, and still claims so many lives, and it's very important that research into its causes, treatment and care continues so that in the future people like Kirsty stand a better chance of surviving.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me - Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, at least an extra 25% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you when you tick the Gift Aid box.
So please sponsor me and/or Helen now! (There might be a drink in it for you. I never shy away from bribery!) If you don't have much money (and anything will do - even £1!) come to Regent's Park on 19th and cheer for us instead
Many thanks for your support.
Lots of love
