Cancer, we're coming to get you!

Hiya,

Believe it or not I am attempting to run a 10km race for life on Sunday 1st September at Tatton Park!!

Those of you that know me will know that this is real challenge for me, I've never been a fan of running, infact there's no exercise I enjoy less!! I wanted to push myself to do something I wouldn't normally do for this great cause that has more than likely affected all of you in some way. 

Most of you will know we lost my mother in-law Chris just over 5 years ago, it still feels like yesterday though. She wasn't just a wonderful mother/mother in-law but she was also the best grandma you could wish for. She was extremely proud of Gaz and Jess and absolutely adored her three grandchildren, and would adore the three more that have been born since - just as much. There's not a day that goes past that we don't think of her and miss her (especially when Gaz and I are spending money on something we shouldn't, she always tried to keep us in check!!)

Then sadly, over 2 years ago now, we lost Uncle Budgie to this same devastating disease. He like Chris adored his family and would have been smitten with his recently born grandchildren. 

This disease took both of these much loved members of family from us. They were both full of life, lived to the full. Far too young to be taken. Just simply beautiful people.

This run is in their memory and run with the hope that whatever you can spare, will help towards finding a cure for this evil disease and stop families having to go through this.
