So, my  three girls have finally persuaded me to get off my butt and do something for a charity close to my heart. Jemma (age 12 - middle one!) and two of her friends will be pushing me around the Race for Life Circuit on 18th June 2011.

Some of you will know there have not been many years of my life which haven't been punctuated by the loss of family and friends often to cancer starting with my brother David who died of Leukemia just short of his 10th birthday.

I'm pleased to say that now children with the same condition  my brother had have a 75% chance of survival to adulthood. That's all down to research and medical developments supported by Cancer Research UK.

All that we give and all that we do to support Cancer Research UK DOES make a difference so please dig deep and help motivate me to shape up and get round this circuit...
