Race run, lovely weather for it too. What an experience! Penny and I ran all the way, no sneaky walks, and it took me 31 minutes 26 seconds.
Thank you again to everyone who has sponsored me!
In memory of Ruby's best friend's mum, Louise Edgington, who died last year.

1st May- I ran 9K today! I even took my running shoes on holiday to Turkey and ran along the coast. See, I'm really dedicated now! I may even post a new picture soon to prove I look slightly fitter...
16th March - I managed over 5K on Sunday!! I even managed to amuse a toddler and his parents in the park by running around the flowerbeds a few times (to extend the tiny bit of the route which is flat). Feeling smug, I then headed into the city centre (by car - I'm not a masochist) and bought myself some new trainers. Oh the difference going half a size up makes. Comfy big toes at last.
Early March - My training is going quite well and I can now (gently does it) jog continuously for 4.6K! And that includes quite a few hills. Sadly, I still look and sound like an asthmatic beetroot, so my next goal is to hit the 5K target slightly more gracefully.....
And a BIG thank you to all my friends who have donated some cash - all amounts large, small and inbetween are gratefully received! Your generosity inspires me to drag myself out of bed in the mornings 4 times a week!

I am a reknowned exercise-phobe, but I have been moved to take up 'running' by the sheer shame factor.
Well, that and the death last summer of my friend Louise, who had cancer. Louise took an approach to her illness which was astonishing - she never showed a moment of 'why me?' and lived her last year obstinately normally, considering what she was going through. She didn't like to make a fuss, so I won't either. But, Louise's husband and their two children have offered to cheer me on as I limp around Sutton Park on 19th June, so I've got to do this now!
So, again - get out the plastic and sponsor me online – it’s quick, easy and totally secure. My feeble attempt at looking like an athlete is worth a punt, surely? The money you donate will help more people survive cancer - Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.
