Update ---01.7.12. Well as you can see from the photo's Esther and I completed the 5k in the rain sodden leverhulme park, due to Arley being waterlogged! We kaughes, cried, tripped!!!! and gossiped our way around the course...Est was brill and an amazing effort 14 weeks after major surgery. She's a star!
Thanks to all for your support.x
My very brave and beautiful big sister Julie lost her personal battle with cancer in April 2011 and throughout her gruelling treatment and hospitalisation she never lost hope of finding a cure. She raised money for local cancer charities and even completed a 10k night hike around Glasgow whilst in the middle of her chemo, so now here I am thinking why I have not got off my backside to help !
So with my friend Esther we are going to complete race for life at Arley Hall. Esther is a fantastic friend and without her help and support since April 2011 I think I would have gone mad. This is her 6th year completing race for life, so I hope she is going to show me the ropes!
If you get chance to look through the photos I have added I hope you get a sense of the fun Julie brought to this world. She loved a pint of cider, was a bit of a dare devil and was always one to "offer" her opinion telling it to you straight, no flowering it up!
