I will be running the Race For Life at Lloyds Park in Croydon on the 22nd July, in Celebration of my Dad.

My Dad has been cancer free for over 5 years, and so mine is a success story!

As my Dad was young and fit when he was diagnosed with neck cancer, his consultants decided to do radical treatment to cure him. This was 184 hours of chemotherapy, 30 days of radiotherapy and an operation.

Even though he became dreadfully ill, unable to eat, drink or speak due to the tremendous pain he was in, my Dad always stayed positive and determined it would not beat him, telling us "I'll be back".

And he was right!  Here he is enjoying life to the full, along with his 2 granddaughters, Danielle and Charlotte who call him Pop.

I need to thank Dr Nutting and his team at the Royal Marsden Hospital for saving my Dads life.  This would not have been possible without the money for research and trials.

So lets help them carry on their magnificent work and hear of lots more success stories!
