Hi Folks,

Well, it is our turn to take the baton from Margaret and Laura and represent the Library in Race for Life 2008! We are doing this for many reasons, but mainly to raise money for a very worthy cause.

We all have friends, colleagues and loved ones who have suffered/are suffering with cancer. One of these being our friend and ex Library colleague Melanie Collins (Or Mel Legg as she was when she worked with Deb and I in HCL a few years ago!) She has incurable ovarian cancer. She too is fund raising for Cancer Research UK and took part in Race for Life in Middlesbrough where she lives. She started the race at Ormesby Hall last Saturday. She was on the local news and in the local press. You can watch her here.
