One Vision works with 51 community group members to better the lives of people living in Hertfordshire, especially the young. Our Vision is of a community where people come together in Hertfordshire to support the vulnerable, promote equality and address injustice. Our Mission is to bring people together to develop services and initiatives in Hertfordshire to address community cohesion, food poverty, mental health, and youth needs, regardless of cultural background or religious affiliation. We want to improve people's lives by meeting their physical, social, emotional, and mental health needs. We identify needs in the community and develop services and initiatives to improve people's lives. Our objectives are: • To bring people and organisations together to improve community cohesion and build community capacity • To improve the physical and mental health and social and emotional well-being of people in our community • To provide practical support to vulnerable individuals and families affected by food poverty and/or social deprivation • To improve the ability of young people to participate in and shape their community Our Values are: • We are inclusive: we respect all people, value diversity, and are committed to equality. • We collaborate: we are committed to a culture of teamwork and collaboration. We work with dozens of community groups, charities, and faith groups

Story

With winter coming, it can be a difficult time for many people. We are organising this competition to raise funds to help those who are struggling to eat and stay warm. Our goal is to raise £500 which will be match funded by Barclays, this will contribute to supporting our communities with food programs, mental health assistance and the Youth council run by 100% volunteer based charity – One Vision

The One Vision Charity is 100% volunteer based, therefore 100% of all proceeds donated will go directly to helping those in need. As a recently established charity organisation, they have already achieved some incredible milestones, such as delivering 100,000 meals in 2020, and assisting 22 schools during the pandemic period. Over the years, their volunteer team work tirelessly by providing free meals for those in need without question, being fast to respond on an ad-hoc crisis to help people’s need.

One Vision provides its support to those in need of relief as a result of inequalities caused by food poverty, social deprivation and the cost of living crisis. Currently supporting 130 families including children and elderly, with the donation we contribute it can enable the charity to reach out to even more people who are in need in this difficult time. To give our donors confidence, in early 2023 we will be publishing a report to show how all of our donations have been used.

Thank you in advance for all your contributions. We believe every little contribution made has potential to make good impact on the lives of others.
