RGD Organisation is raising money for Refugee Women of Bristol

RWoB was set up in 2003 by a group of refugee women. They identified a number of common challenges in settling in to their new life in the UK regardless of where they came from. RWoB is directly governed by women of the refugee and asylum seeking community in Bristol.

Story

During this holy month of Ramadan, RGD aims to fundraise £1,500 to support Refugee Women of Bristol (RWoB) provide vital hardship funds to over 300 women in Bristol. RWOB is the only multi-ethnic, multi-faith organisation which specifically targets the needs of refugee women in Bristol, they are directly governed by women of the refugee and asylum-seeking community. 

RWOB’s hardship fund are usually from public donations and their anonymous Trust. These hardship funds have been a lifeline for many women during the pandemic and they would benefit immensely from the donations of the public. 

The hardship funds enable members to access. 

 Food vouchers
 Mobile data
 Bus fare to access RWOBs services. 
 They also respond to one-off emergencies faced by their members, for example, women experiencing domestic violence or periods of homelessness.

Please donate generously throughout Ramadan and remember that charity does not decrease wealth.
