London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·

Hundreds of runners will be taking part in the London Marathon 2020 to raise funds for St John Ambulance, the charity that picks you up, dusts you down and gets you over the finish line.

Story

On October 3rd, I will be running the London Marathon on behalf of St John Ambulance (SJA). Having planned and trained to run last October, before the event was cancelled, I am now training for a second time to make sure that I can run/walk/crawl to the finish line!

Since a traumatic personal experience of giving CPR in 2018, I have been a firm advocate of CPR and First Aid training. It is for this reason that I have chosen to run on behalf of SJA, a volunteer-led health and first aid charity offering a range of resources and training, which enable people to, quite literally, save lives.

This year, the reasons to support this charity run even deeper - SJA have been integral to the UK’s pandemic response, having provided over half a million hours to the COVID-19 frontline.
