Story
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support.
In 2016 my father in law died of a heart attack. He had been ill for several months with a heart condition, however, there was no clear diagnosis as to exactly what was wrong or how it could or should be treated.
My father -in-law was a fit and active man, a wonderful husband, father and grand-father and we miss him more everyday.
As a science teacher, he was looking forward to being able to help his grandchildren as they reached comprehensive. They are now reaching A level and GCSE age with his eldest grandson following his love for science.
John was a keen sportsman, rugby player and chorister and would be so proud of all his grandchildren's achievements.
I hope that by raising money for the British Heart Foundation, it will help fund critical research to identify the problem and provide treatment for other people in the same position as my father in law.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
