In the UK 28% of Women have experienced domestic abuse, and 1 in 5 Women have experienced sexual assault. 

Solace Women's aid exists to bring to an end the harm done through domestic and sexual violence to all survivors in particular women and children. Their work is holistic and empowering, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives free from abuse.

£25 could means a women can attend a counselling session with a specialised counsellor, helping her understand her past.

£36 means a woman can attend a Moving Forward or Back to Work group.

£47 could answer one more call on the advice line, ensuring a woman can find a path to safety.

£125 can get a woman and her family the essential items when they flee to refuge.

£500 can set a woman and her family up in a new house with basic furniture, starting their new lives. 

£1000 trains 4 members of staff to become Independent Domestic Violence Advocates so they are always there to help. 

For similar charities along as this one, there is nearly always a long waiting list or women just get turned away because they do not have the money to help. The money I hoping to fund-raise could really change more women's lives.
