Rhiannon Knower is raising money for Voluntary Service Overseas
Story
I'll soon be starting my 6-month volunteering adventure, firstly in Aberdeen and then on to Tanzania!! I will be working in a team of 9 UK volunteers and 9 counterpart volunteers from Tanzania. I am trying to raise £600 to help support the programme.
I will be part of Youth Xchange, Global Xchange's longest-running progamme. It gives 18-25 year olds the chance to spend six months making a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged people.
We will be working on projects and volunteering in organisations tackling issues that affect the local communities in both countries. These will include homelessness, youth employment, health and education.
