Story
In our family, the same as too many others, our lives have been changed through cancer or long term chronic illnesses. My father died from cancer and my brother-in-law through a long term, debilitating illness. During the last year or so of his life, Woking and Sam Beare Hospice provided a huge amount of support in many different ways for the whole family. This included care at home and support from the CNS to day care in the well-being centre, where I now currently work.
I am taking part in the Midnight Walk to support Woking & Sam Beare Hospices. This vital charity provides such important support for 2,000 people across NW Surrey each year, and their families and carers. The hospice relies almost entirely on donations to raise the £9.6 million it spends on all its services each year - which it provides free-of-charge. With each step of the 8 mile walk (and each waggle of the traditional flashing bunny ears all the walkers wear!) I will be taking a step closer to supporting the hospice - and I need your help.
Please sponsor me to ensure that the hospice can care for others into the future at the time they need it most. Thank you so much, Love Rhona x
