πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸŒŸ "Run For Refugees: Join Our Journey of Compassion!" πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŒŸ Exciting news from RCK! This April, five dedicated volunteers will be running the London Landmark Half Marathon, all in support of displaced people in Northern France and London.

Story

I will be running the 2024 London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 7th April to raise money for Refugee Community Kitchen. RCK is a charity that is close to my heart, and I have been volunteering with them since May 2023, both in their London kitchens and in Calais.

RCK first started it's operations in Calais in 2015, before opening their kitchens in London in 2016 and Edinburgh shortly after. RCK's mission is to provide hot, fresh and nutritious food to the refugee and homeless communities in Northern France and UK. All food produced is done with care, love and solidarity by volunteers.

RCK serves up to 5000 people in Norther France each week, and up to 500 in London. With these numbers, it is no wonder that the charity rely heavily on kind donations to fund their operations to get healthy food out to those who need.

To add a further personal challenge, I will also be running 1 other half marathon between now and London, the Fleet Half Marathon. I would be so grateful for any donations you can give. The Charity and it's work really is beautiful and it would mean an awful lot to me. Thank you so much in advance.
