Story
The Countryfile team are back and raising life-changing amounts of money by donning their walking boots. We are joining them with our own sponsored Countryfile Ramble to help support children and young people.
We are leading a 16km (10 miles) walk on the Sunday with the Taff Ely Ramblers starting at 10am in Porth walking up over the hill to Penrhys where we will drop down to Tylerstown, follow the river, then up to right of Old Smokey, then back along the hill to Porth.
But.......
This wasn't enough for us.....
So as I am fifty this weekend we decided to stretch this to 50km to match my age. We will be starting our walk at midnight and will have done 34km by the start of the Taff Ely Sunday Ramble. By the end of the day we will have walked 50km.
During the night we will be walking over the hills to Treorchy, then will go up the Bwlch, round the back to Tonypandy thru Penygraig. Where we will go up Mynydd Dinas thru Trebanog to Mynydd Y Glyn, down to Barry Sidings and back to Porth before meeting our fellow ramblers for the last 10 miles.
