Rhys 27, brother Carwyn 24, and friend Daniel 21, were all born with heart conditions. Rhys (Oct 2011) and Daniel (Nov 2012) have both received lifesaving heart transplants at the QEHB after being very close to losing the fight. We want to raise money for the Heart & Lung transplant foundation at Birmingham specifically, as a way of saying thank you.  Carwyn also recently had two serious open heart operations in 2012. It is a challenge for us all. 

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham covers the whole of Wales for Heart and Lung transplants and parts of England.The money raised will go towards things such as much needed equipment, research or support for patients and their families currently waiting for or recovering from transplants at the QEHB. 

We also want to promote organ donation, without our donors and their family making that difficult decision we simply would not be here. Rhys also wants to dedicate the climb in memory of his surgeon Professor Robert Bonser who sadly passed away in October 2012.
