In February 2025, our sweet 5 year-old son, Isaiah, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D)—an autoimmune disease that has no cure.

We had no idea what this meant at first. We’d heard of diabetes, but not Type 1. Now, it’s a part of everything we do. Every single meal, every outing, every bedtime. We’re constantly checking his blood sugar, counting carbs, managing his insulin.

It’s overwhelming, and sometimes it just feels unfair.

But through it all, Isaiah has shown us what real strength looks like. He’s already learned how to check his own blood sugar and give himself insulin injections, at just five years old. His bravery and positive spirit amazes me every single day.

Still, this is really hard and it breaks my heart knowing this is something he’ll live with for the rest of his life—unless a cure is found.

There’s no cure for T1D right now. But we believe there will be one. And every donation gets us one step closer.
