RAF Coltishall in Norfolk was the last operational Battle of Britain station to close back in 2006. We as an organisation will preserve the history and memories of those who served and worked there. From 1940 with Douglas Bader, Spitfires and Hurricanes to the jet age of Lightnings and Jaguar's.

Story

RAF Coltishall closed its gates for the final time in 2006 after 66 years of service to the crown, and proudly boasts its legacy as a Battle of Britain fighter station, remaining an operational fighter station until its closure in 2006. During WWII Coltishall became synonymous with Aces such as Douglas Bader, R R Stanford Tuck, 'Sailor Malan' and 'Cats-Eyes' Cunningham. From Spitfires, Hurricanes, Beaufighters, Mosquitos into the jet age of Lightnings and Jaguars, Coltishall hardly changed its role or character. Help us preserve our heritage.
