I am taking part again in the Norfolk Churches Trust Annual Bike Ride on Saturday, 7 September 2019* and should be grateful for your financial and other support.

The funds I raise will be shared equally between the Trust (http://www.norfolkchurchestrust.org.uk/) and my own church (All Saints' Church, Chedgrave - http://www.chetvalleychurches.org/) to support their work.

The Norfolk Churches Trust protects many architecturally precious religious monuments in Norfolk, which has the largest cluster of medieval churches in the world, an important legacy for future generations. They contain a wide range of rare works of art and craftsmanship of various types. The Trust's grants have proved vital to the future of many of these churches. 

Maintaining church buildings is also important for other reasons, not least because the churches are active in their communities.  Local support and witness remain essential parts of church life, and the Church in Chedgrave is active in many ways, with benefit to many individuals, families and village life at large.

I always enjoy the exercise provided by this event, the opportunity of visiting some lovely buildings, and meeting a lot of people.  I am glad that as in previous years, Nicholas, my middle son, should be able to join me.
