We provide emotional and practical support to help people affected by road death

Story

The Road Victims Trust is a charity that provides a unique service and support to families that have directly been affected by road death.

I am a 50 year old police officer with nearly 30 years service. A significant of amount of my time has been involved in road policing attempting to make the roads a safer place for all.  My current role is that of a Road Policing Inspector leading a team of officers that patrol the roads of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.

Unfortunately there are occasions when a loved one does not arrive at their intended destination. Instead a police officer will knock at a door and pass on news that no one wants to hear.

During the following months invaluable support is given to the bereaved families by trained counsellors from the Road Victims Trust.

This is my first marathon. I am running it for the RVT so that this important work can continue.  Thank you for taking time to read this.  More information can be found on the Road Victims Trust website. Follow their social media pages to see how I get on.  The  big day is the 3rd October.  Finally thank you for any donation you make.
