Story
Having cycled Coast to Coast, down to Brighton and back from Yeovil I along with 290 other cyclists I have “volunteered” to ride a 235Mile Tour of Yorkshire raising money for the “Keep it up” campaign on behalf of The Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity.
The 235 mile ride around Yorkshire will set off on Wednesday 1 May, taking in overnight stops in Hull, Scarborough and Harrogate before returning back in time for Huddersfield Town’s last home game against Barnsley on Saturday 4 May.
We are all aware of the service the YAA provides in 999 situations, but to maintain and enhance this service they need to raise a considerable amount of money every year, it costs a staggering £7,200 per day to keep the Yorkshire Air Ambulances maintained and in the air!
Over the last 3 iterations Pedal for Pounds has raised a staggering £720,000 and the target for this year is to break the £1m barrier, my personal target is to again raise more than £2,000 and I hope that you can help me to meet this target!
