Just over a year ago my dad's heart stopped.....twice.  Thanks to advances in medical treatment, a team managed to start it again....twice, and helped keep it ticking strong to date.  These advances are partly to charities like the British Heart Foundation.

2012 wasn't a great year for the Bolt's (unless your name's Usain) as my stepmum had a battle with cancer but thankfully she came away victorious....Needless to say 2013 is a year of giving something back.  This falls on the shoulders of the 'sporty' member of the family, fag smoking, chip eating, generally unfit and overweight, lager drinking.......me!?!

I guess all the time I have nothing to cycle for, I also have a perfectly good excuse to get out of it, so please find it in your hearts, but mostly your pockets to spur me on...
