Story

Like many people, I didn’t understand what Claire House did and the support they offer to families at times when they really need help.
In February 2019 our 20 month old daughter Maggie died suddenly and unexpectedly. To say our world was shattered is an understatement, Lizzy and I had no idea how to deal with the most traumatic time of our lives, until Claire House reached out to offer their help. They provided their butterfly suite which gave us the opportunity to spend time with Maggie before her funeral. Claire House continues to support us with counselling and ongoing care. Without them I don’t think Lizzy or I would still be here.

February 2021 marks two years since Maggie left us. In an attempt to conjure some light from the darkness and to show our appreciation for the amazing work Claire House do, I’ve enlisted Dave Hornby to join me in June, to jump out of a plane to raise as much money for Claire House as we can.

We realise that the last 12 months have been incredibly tough for a lot of people but if you are in a position to give something, please do. Any family going through the hell of losing a child should always have the options of help that Claire House can offer.

Thank you
