Story

I believe in getting to the point so you dont have to read the extended version. My aim is to reach around £400 in donations for the Charity Blood wise.

I have limited use of my left arm since an injury in 2013, (yes I swim in circles). I decided to do Weekend warrior around Aug 2017 the challenge being increased with my injury. The bit most of you don't know, In October 2017, I was diagnosed with Bladder cancer and will be starting chemo therapy in March.

In 2013 an injury to my shoulder lead to an operation to repair multiple tendons by the time I had the operation, unfortunately the damage was done and I am permanently stuck with around 30% range of movement in my shoulder, no biceps tendon and 20% grip in my left hand.

During rehab from my operation in 2016, I decided to take up triathlon as a personal challenge, increased by the fact I couldn't swim properly before my injury so had to learn. (My first triathlon had me holding the pool side for most of it) but I was hooked joining a local tri group and making some good friends.

I decided to do Weekend Warrior with Gen and Charlotte as a good way to push myself and raise money for a good cause.

Unfortunately in October 2017 I noticed a lot of blood in my urine, luckily I didn't ignore it and was put on a "two week wait" screening process which discovered a tumour in my bladder.  This was removed but unfortunately at my last check in January it had reappeared. I will be starting Chemotherapy in a few weeks to hopefully stamp this out.

I will still be doing the Weekend warrior which has given me a real positive distraction, training is going well and I aim to complete  4 triathlons in the 2 days.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated.

P.s For my Matleot friends I have looked up Sympathy in the dictionary so no need to point me in the right direction.
