I am looking forward to making my third and final attempt at the Great North Run in the hope of raising some much needed money for this wonderful charity.

This year's visit to Newcastle will be particularly poignant as on my last visit i was accompanied by my close friend Roger Brown who very sadly has since passed away.  He will be very much in my mind as i cross the Tyne Bridge and head for South Shields.

Training to date is sluggish but with your much needed support I should be greatly encouraged to improve!
