Story

Now the third year of raising money for the industry that I cherish and love & this time it is self inflicted as I suggested the idea and my idea of a gentle ride has been modified.

This year the challenge is a 1 day, 85 mile bike ride through North Wales!

Bah!!!!! I hear you shout......he did more last year, why should i give him more money for doing less?!?!?!?!?

Well; this years route has a twist to it. Yes 85 miles however a crippling 9303ft (2850meters) to climb during the ride. This being the equivalent of climbing Snowdon 3 times.

A HUGE challenge.....

The ride is a massive physical and mental challenge, however, not as much of a challenge as some of my close friends, customers and agricultural colleagues face on a day to day basis to keep the pantry cupboard full for us all in the UK in these challenging uncertain times.

Even though the agricultural industry can look shiny and idyllic from the outside, financial & mental hardship is glossed over, especially in these crazy times we are dealing with at present; so what better cause to ride for and keep me focused on the ride ahead.

R.A.B.I is a grant-making charity which helps farming people of all ages if they are in financial difficulty. Support is confidential and includes one-off or regular payments, funding for things like essential household items, disability equipment, relief farm staff, home-help and care costs.

Thanks for reading my story, third time fund raiser, if you could spare a few pounds to go into the pot it would go towards a great cause and help me on my way!
