In memory of Baby Raihana

Sands is the charity speaking up about pregnancy and baby loss, saving babies’ lives and supporting bereaved families. Together, we are saving babies’ lives and improving maternity safety and bereavement care through research, training and campaigning.

Story

Baby Raihana was found on a footpath in Oxford after being left there, for whatever reason, by her mother. She was stillborn and nobody ever found her family.

Eight months on, Detective Inspector Jim Holmes (the officer who named her) put out a final appeal to find Raihana's mother before she is buried on October 18, 2016.

Many people were touched by the story and wanted to know how they could help, so metro.co.uk started this fund for people to donate to Sands in her memory.
